In response to a number of requests, I am sharing the current plan for Caldwell UNC Health Care Volunteer Services and Auxiliary as it relates to preparations to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to reduce the number of patients and community members who become infected. We have implemented the following protocols which are effective at 5 p.m. Friday, March 13.
All volunteers are required to refrain from volunteering until further notice. I will keep my volunteers engaged with timely, appropriate communication as everything evolves.
Our hospital Gift Shop will close at 5 p.m. Friday, March 13.
All student programs are temporarily suspended as of 5 p.m. Friday, March 13.
Visitation restrictions are moving quickly to a higher level of implementation.
Caldwell UNC Health Care is actively working on its COVID-19 emergency management program, which is very comprehensive in scope and strategy and involves emergency, in-patient and well as ambulatory services. I will be glad to share more as it becomes available. Caldwell has a great team employees working around the clock to prepare and implement its program. Thank you, Alice Whisnant
